Historically, Nia was an acronym that stood for "Neuromuscular Integrative Action".  Nia is Swahili for "the body's way" or "with intent".  But
more than anything, Nia is a soulful, dance inspired cardio-fitness and personal development program.  It provides a fun workout that is
specially designed to bring together mind, body, spirit and emotions.

Nia blends dance, martial arts, yoga and the healing arts to produce a total mind/body workout that fosters growth and integration of mind,
body, emotions and spirit.

How does Nia do this?  Nia brings together, into a single, seamless process, nine different forms of movement from three basic
