A friend brought me to Lisa-Anne's Nia class nearly three years ago and I knew right
away, 'this is for me'.
Having taken fitness classes in the past I assumed that we'd be following the teacher
doing something like aerobics. Happily, I was wrong. Lisa-Anne teaches such a fun
class that I could almost forget that it is exercise. There is no question that I have
become more fit from taking her classes. But that is only part of what has kept me
coming to her classes. Her classes are for the whole person - body, mind and spirit -
and her students are encouraged to listen to their body's own wisdom.
Her classes are infused with her enthusiasm for dance and fitness, and she shares
her deep understanding of the principles of how movement can create better health
and joy in our bodies.
